Live Earth Dead Earth, It’s big bucks for Gore.

If Al Gore decides that he is just too popular a fellow, because of the responses he gets at the Live Earth concert on the 7th, and throws his weight into a bid for the democratic nominee, you could count all of the hours of TV coverage as an in-kind political donation to his campaign. It’s big bucks time for Al. Whether he runs or not, he’ll generate more future speaking time and be able to demand bigger bucks for showing up for a 1 hour performance, after the dinner and double desserts that most of his speaking engagements provide him. Al wins. The people lose.

“Live earth: the Concerts for a Climate Change” will be aired for 75 hours by NBC Universal on the 7th. “Live Earth is about engaging a critical mass of people to tackle the climate crisis,” said Kevin Wall, Live Earth founder and producer. NBC’s sweeping coverage of Live Earth ensures that Americans from coast to coast will be able to tune in to the concerts and take action against the climate crisis.”... “Live Earth marks the beginning of a multi-year campaign led by The Alliance for Climate Protection and its Chair, former Vice President Al Gore, to move individuals, corporations and governments to take action.”

If you don’t see it Gore’s way, take the highway. Al Gore has complained that the media are biased against the inconvenient truth of global warming. “I believe that is one of the principal reasons why political leaders around the world have not yet taken action, “Gore told a “Media Ethics Summit” at Middle Tennessee State University back in February. Gore lectured journalists that any coverage of views opposed to his own was irresponsible, calling it “balance as bias.” More…

Proceeds from the concerts go to Gore’s own non-profit organization,  The Alliance for Climate Protection.  Big bucks for Al to travel to exotic places for “climate inspections”.   It’s a nice sunny day at the beach today.

Back in 2001 when President Bush rejected the Kyoto agreement, the network news coverage was predominately negative toward Bush as having made the wrong decision, that he was short sighted and all that kind of stuff. The networks have been on this bandwagon for a long time, at least back to when Al and Bill were running things, and it’s been overwhelmingly one-sided coverage from the networks ever since. When this is all that the guillible public hear for a decade, that the earth is warming because of industrial pollution and you need to recycle, save energy, drive a smaller car, car pool, turn the heat up, turn the air down, over and over, and on the local affiliates, a special expert will be featured with the tip of the week about how to save energy.

Have any of the networks run a special with ½ hour of global warming advocates and then ½ hour of the global warming skeptics? It has not happened, it will not happen. Not even with a revival of the Fairness Doctrine.

But still, when something is really a bunch of hooey, everyone can get on the bandwagon and go the way of the believers, but it’s still a bunch of hooey. Reid Bryson, known as the father of scientific climatology, considers global warming a bunch of hooey.”

There are numerous qualified climatologists who reject the notion that man is responsible for the various climate changes. Warming to cooling to warming to cooling. And the temperature differences have been small enough that would not have caused any degree of hysterical calamity that has been pushed upon the global world by extremists like Gore.

For one, I can not accept the notion in anyway whatsoever that mankind can alter the global atmosphere. God, the Creator was smarter than leaving a loophole in the system. Foolishness.

And that is as I see it.
