Rove resigns.

Karl Rove, known as the “architect” of the George W. Bush campaign victory, has decided to call it quits, though not a quit, but a “I just think it’s time.”  For someone to have stayed with George Bush for as long as he has, for 14 years, says something very important about Rove and about Bush.  It could not have been just a political relationship for mutual political power, as many of the critics on the left have tried to insinuate.  He has survived countless attacks from the left, subpoena after subpoena for grand jury appearances and has been forced to run up stupendous personal legal bills defending himself for things he has not done.  It was all considered part of the job of knowing that their vision for America was worth the self sacrifice and the endless struggle fending off the progressive secular humanists out to destroy our Judeo/Christian heritage.

“But I’m not going to stay or leave based on whether it pleases the mob,” he says.

“There’s always something that can keep you here, and as much as I’d like to be here, I’ve got to do this for the sake of my family,” Mr. Rove says. His son attends college in San Antonio, and he and his wife, Darby, plan to spend much of their time at their home in nearby Ingram, in the Texas Hill Country.

“I’m a myth. There’s the Mark of Rove,” he says, with a bemused air. “I read about some of the things I’m supposed to have done, and I have to try not to laugh.” He says the real target is Mr. Bush, whom many Democrats have never accepted as a legitimate president and “never will.”   Wall Street Journal.

There is no use in replaying what the democrats are saying about Rove leaving at this time as it is the same old story with just a new twisted lie, as we have heard since “Bush stole the election” crap that those disgruntled losers have been repeating over and over.  That hatred for their loss has been transferred to Bush and Rove.  It’s colored everything the democrats have done ever since.  Its influenced every stance on every proposal.  Honest and open debate, once a statesman like commonly expected procedure in American history has lost out to political power grubbing personal attacks of the worst kind.  It has become disgusting.

Who in their right mind would want to put themselves and their family through such personal scrutiny by the enemy on the other side along with a complicit press?  It sure is time for transforming politics in Washington by instituting term Limits on all of them.

Karl, good luck on your future endeavors.  You’ve served your country with greatness.
